While Grieving Their Son, Parents Receive an Amazing Sign From Above

ATLANTA, GA.—Six-year-old Leland Shoemake passed away after a six week fight against a mysterious bacterial infection. When his parents, Amber and Tim Shoemake, returned home to prepare for the funeral, they were shocked to find a note he had left them.

“Still with you,” it read in large red lettering. “Thank you mom and dad.”

The touching note provided the grieving parents a sense of peace and became a symbol of hope for the thousands of people who saw Amber’s Facebook post after finding the note.

“We knew he was special,” she said. “But we never expected him to touch people globally.”
